International Society of Icono-diagnosis

The International Society of Icono‑diagnosis (ISI) is an international organization dedicated to research, standardization, and dissemination of iconodiagnostic practices. It brings together researchers, conservators, and heritage professionals to improve the visual analysis and documentation of objects.

How does ISI‑App work?

1. Take or upload photos of the object you want to analyze.

2. Describe its visual and material characteristics.

3. Submit the record to contribute to the ISI’s international database.

Create an icono-diagnostic record

Install the app on iPhone

  1. Open this website in Safari on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow) : IOS share button icon
  3. Select Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add.

The application will then appear as a native app on your home screen.

Tips

It is also recommended to take an overall photo of the artwork and a close‑up of the pathological lesion.
